6.2 quake hits Bolivia

BENI, Bolivia, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Bolivia Tuesday, about 270 miles east-northeast of La Paz, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The San Calixto Observatory in La Paz said the quake was centered in Beni and was felt in the capital, Los Tiempos.com reported.
Observatory Director Estela Minaya said the quake occurred at a depth of 5.5 miles.
Los Tiempos said the quake caused alarm in the tallest buildings in La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, prompting evacuations.
USGS said the quake occurred at 2:48 p.m., local time.
No damage or injuries were immediately reported
